30ml / 1.0 fl.oz.

Description

- Suitable for inflammatory acne-prone skin (especially Papule), Sensitive skin or aging skin (wrinkles)

- Completed clinical trial suitable for acne skin

‘Shield cream’ that protects the skin from external stimuli and forms a protective layer of dressing on troubled areas to moisturize, soothe, and relieve.
This cream is developed based on the formulation of PP cream*, which has the function of protecting the skin from external irritations. It is a unique formula that contains ingredients to treat inflamed areas or initial inflammatory acne (characterized by hardness and pain) and relieve acne scars while repairing skin barriers.
Additionally, it contains skin permeable EGF peptide, so can be used on wrinkle areas.

*PP (Post Procedure) Cream is a cream that is used after cosmetic procedures or surgeries (skin rejuvenation, laser treatments, chemical peels or so in the dermatological clinic) to soothe irritation on the treated area.

SynepinTM Solution 100 (1%)

Skin regeneration, Anti-aging, Scar care, Wound healing Agent

Epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a protein that stimulates cell growth and differentiation by binding to its receptor, EGFR. Human EGF is 6.2 kDa and has 53 amino acid residues and three intramolecular disulfide bonds. It is known to play key roles in skin regeneration and wound-healing.

As an epidermal growth factor (EGF) tripeptide, SynepinTM recognizes and binds to a specific site of EGF receptor that lies on cell membrane. Once this happens, EGF receptors deliver a signal to increase the production of cells in a specific area.

SynepinTM boosts cellular turnover by facilitating the growth of keratinocytes and dermal fibroblasts. It works by attracting cells to a wound site to initiate repair process, which is an essential part of skin regeneration.

1.  SynepinTM activates ERK and Akt signaling pathway and promotes skin cell proliferation through EGFR.

EGF is known to promote the activation of ERK and Akt signaling pathway.

The effect of SynepinTM on phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and Akt1 was mediated by EGFR on HaCaT cells and SynepinTM also facilitates the proliferation of human keratinocytes and dermal fibroblasts1 (Fig. 1).

2. SynepinTM helps reduce wrinkles on the skin and works by attracting cells to a wound site to initiate repair process, which is an essential part of skin regeneration (Fig. 2).

3. SynepinTM is a peptide consisted of 3 amino acids with similar efficacy to EGF, but it has a significantly much smaller size (about 500 Da) compared to the 6,200 Da protein EGF. This allows for much better skin absorption, and it effectively functions at the dermal layer, providing real benefits and efficacy for the skin. Therefore, SynepinTM is also called, “Skin permeable EGF peptide”.

D-Panthenol

  Skin barrier enchancing Agent

Panthenol (also called pantothenol) is the alcohol analog of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), and is thus a provitamin of B5. In organisms, it is quickly oxidized to pantothenic acid. It is a viscous transparent liquid at room temperature. Panthenol is used in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products as a moisturizer and to improve wound healing1.

Dermatological effects of the topical use of dexpanthenol include increased fibroblast proliferation and accelerated re-epithelialization in wound healing. Furthermore, it acts as a topical protectant, moisturizer, and has demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties2.

D-panthenol enhances skin barrier repair through reducing TEWL (TransEpidermal Water Loss) and inflammation, and improving skin hydration3 (Figure 1).

Evaluation of transepidermal water loss (TEWL) showed that formulations supplemented with 1.0% and 5.0% of panthenol improved the skin barrier function, resulting in a significant decrease (p < 0.001) in TEWL values 15 and 30 days after daily application of these formulations. This result showed that to have significant long-term effects on skin barrier function, the formulation must be supplemented with higher concentrations of panthenol, such as 1.0% and 5.0%. In addition, the concentration of panthenol also influenced the improvement of skin hydration since 1.0% of panthenol was enough to show efficacy in the reduction of TEWL4(Figure 2).

CICA Complex (Asiaticoside, Madecassic acid, Asiatic acid)

Anti-inflammatory, Scar care, Wound healing Agents

Asiaticoside in C. asiatica has wound curative ability by increasing angiogenesis and collagen formation. The asiaticoside enhances the stretching strength of the newly formed skin and promotes the wound’s healing. It also prevents the inflammatory process, which may increase the capillary permeability and provoke hypertrophy in abrasions5. In the laboratory, antioxidant levels were observed on one animal to study the effects of asiaticoside, and the antioxidants played a key role in the healing of injuries6 (Figure 3).

Madecassic Acid is one of the main biological active components in the popular skin ingredient, Centella Asiatica, also known as Tiger Grass.

Free radical damage can often result in the skin looking dull, with signs of hyperpigmentation and showing some premature aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles. Madecassic Acid protects the skin from this free radical damage. Madecassic Acid can help soothe the skin, meaning any signs of inflammation, redness, dryness or other skin conditions such as acne, rosacea and sensitivity.

Asiatic acid has anti-aging potential and helps in healing wounds. Healing breakouts and promoting the generation of new skin cells is a one-stop shop for people who are wanting to slow down premature aging and speed up the healing of acne.

CIRACLE Red Spot Set (Cica Sulfur Gel & Cica EGF Cica Dressing)

  Clinical Trial for Acne patients

Over the course of 4 weeks, clinical results showed a 7.3% improvement in whiteheads and a 37.6% improvement in blackheads. Additionally, inflammatory acne, represented by papules, showed a 30.6% improvement. Excessive sebum secretion decreased by 27.5%.
